Temple Terrace Real Estate

People who are planning on moving to Tampa should explore “the Terrace”, located just north of Tampa. Temple Terrace may be the smallest incorporated municipality in Hillsborough County, with a population of approximately 25,700 (2015), but it offers convenient access to some of the best cultural activities, sporting events, and medical facilities in the region.

Important efforts have been made to keep the city competitive and attractive to new families and businesses. The downtown area, for instance, has undergone a redevelopment project to make it more walkable. The Terrace is a bicycle-friendly community. Furthermore, residents and visitors are encouraged to rely less on cars and explore other transportation means, including walking, shuttle buses, scooters, and even golf carts. Temple Terrace was the first city in Florida to be designated as a “Multimodal Transportation District”. This all helps Temple Terrace maintain its reputation as a “hidden gem” along the shores of the Hillsborough River.

The real estate market is hot in Temple Terrace now. The median home sale price is $175,000 and the average apartment rent is $1,200 per month. The cost of living is about 5% lower than the U.S. average. About 59% of the residents are homeowners and the median family income is about $49,800 (2017).
