Parkland Real Estate

Parkland’s motto, “Environmentally Proud”, truly reflects the commitment of an affluent city whose zoning laws have been designed to safeguard its park-like aspect – so much that there were no shops or traffic lights until the early 2000s. The city’s government is taking a moderate approach to growth in order to maintain the small-town feel of the city.

Parkland’s population is approximately 30,000 (per 2015 estimates). About 88% of the residents are homeowners and over 60% are college educated. The cost of living is 73% higher than the U.S. average, but the median household income is equally high – about $113,800. The median home price is $562,000 and the median apartment rent is $3,400 (2017).

The city comprises 8.5 miles (13.6 kilometers) of sidewalks, bike paths, and multipurpose trails, an equestrian center, a wilderness preserve, and several parks with amenities ranging from fully-lit sports fields and play areas to amphitheaters, tee ball fields, and fishing piers.
