Crestview Real Estate

The county seat of Okaloosa County, Crestview is one of the fastest-growing cities in Florida and a major city in the Fort Walton Beach-Crestview-Destin metro area. Crestview, once known as the “Icebox of Florida” for having the coldest winters in the state, is now called the “Hub City” of Northwest Florida, due to its location at the intersection of three important roadways: Interstate Highway 10, State Road 85, and U.S. 90. It is also one of the highest places in Florida, at 235 feet (72 meters) above sea level.

Crestview’s real estate market is stable now, with homes selling at a median price of $153,500 and apartments renting at about $1,140 per month. Nearly 70% of the population – which reached approximately 23,000 (2015) – are homeowners, and the median household income is $49,000. The cost of living is about 9.50% lower than the national average.

Crestview offers a high quality of life for its residents. Great schools, active recreational facilities, welcoming churches, a wide variety of housing styles, and a thriving business district work together as a lively, expanding city. Crestview is near several significant historic sites and tourist attractions, as well as several major military bases.
