Casselberry Real Estate

The City of Casselberry, located in Seminole County, is usually associated to the Orlando-Kissimmee-Sanford metro area. It has a population of approximately 27,000 (per 2015 estimates). There are more than 30 lakes and ponds in the city area, including Lake Concord and the Triplet Chain of Lakes, around which early settlers began to homestead the land, back in 1862.

Casselberry developed mostly around the fern industry, introduced by Gordon J. Barnett in 1925. Barnett not only opened a fernery of his own, but he also started a habitation development made up of small lots that each included a fernery. The area’s ferneries soon became one of the largest suppliers for floral arrangements throughout Canada and the United States. Today, the City of Casselberry is known as “the community-minded City with small town comfort” – a vital and productive community where business development has a special place and the job market includes a wide range of growing companies.
